Code of Conduct for members of Algester Sports Club
Access to the club is a privilege and comes with certain rights and responsibilities.
The Code of Conduct provides members, guests and visitors with guidance on the standards of behaviour that are expected of them while they are on club premises.
It has been developed by the club to ensure everyone can enjoy amenities provided by the club in a safe, enjoyable and responsible manner.
· The code of conduct clarifies the standards of behaviour expected by the club.
· Should any person have doubts regarding any aspect of this code, they should contact the club’s General Manager to seek clarification.
Accordingly, members, guests and visitors shall:
· comply with all provisions of the club’s constitution, by-laws, policies, signage and lawful directions of employees;
· comply with all directions of the club’s management committee, subcommittees and other personnel;
· access the club with proper identification and fulfill any sign-in requirements;
· ensure minors are accompanied by a responsible adult;
· abide by the dress code of the club (available upon request);
· not bring food or drinks on the club premises for consumption on the premises;
· behave in a way that upholds the values and reputation of the club;
· avoid any actions or behaviour that could reasonably be deemed to detract from the club’s reputation;
· interact with all people associated with the club in a courteous and respectful manner;
· do not engage in behaviour towards others that is intended to abuse or harass;
· refrain from disorderly or disruptive behaviour;
· show due consideration to the needs of others, including their right to privacy;
· respect the rights of others to enjoy the club’s facilities and services;
· conduct yourself in an ethical and socially acceptable manner during any involvement in club activities;
· accept full responsibility and accountability for your own decisions and actions;
· refrain from excessive consumption of alcohol whilst attending the club premises;
· do not possess illegal material while on club premises;
· handle club property with care and diligence;
· do not display or transmit, or cause to be displayed or transmitted, offensive and/or inappropriate material or messages including in any online or written environment referencing the club, its members or staff;
· do not speak to the media about any aspect of the club without authority to do so
The Code of Conduct is actively monitored by the club and applies at all times when members, guests and visitors are on the club premises.
If a breach occurs and can be proven, the club may initiate disciplinary action, which may include refusal of entry, a verbal or written warning, withdrawal of certain privileges, and suspension or termination of membership (if applicable).
The disciplinary action will be in accordance with the club’s rules.

YOU MUST LEAVE THE CLUB PREMISES IMMEDIATELY
